Munich gross sales company The Playmaker has closed the primary distribution offers for thriller Sew Torn, which is able to debut on the Noves Imaginative and prescient part of the Sitges Movie Pageant.
The movie, which beforehand screened at SXSW and Locarno, has been offered to distributors in France (Koba Movies), the UK (Vertigo Releasing), Spain (Madfer Movies), Japan (King Information) and India (BookMyShow India).
UTA Impartial Movie Group, which owns North American rights, is in talks with distributors.
“Sew Torn” is writer-director Freddie Macdonald’s first function movie following the quick movie of the identical title, which was acquired by Searchlight Photos. Freddy Macdonald’s AFI thesis movie Shedding Angels received the Scholar Academy Award and was shortlisted for the Scholar BAFTA Award. He’s represented by UTA.
Stitched is described as “a layered thriller with parts of black comedy that explores the intricacies of human decision-making.”
The movie facilities on Barbara Dugan (performed by Eve Connolly), a self-proclaimed “itinerant seamstress.” She is struggling to maintain her material retailer afloat. After a failed stitching appointment units her on a quest to switch her shopper bond, she stumbles upon a drug deal gone dangerous. Going through the downed motorcyclist, the gun and the briefcase, Barbara was utterly heartbroken. She is pressured to decide on between three choices: commit the right crime, name the police, or drive away.
Sew Torn is an American-Swiss manufacturing co-produced by Fred Macdonald (USA), Barry Navidi (USA), Sebastian Klinger (Switzerland), Diamantis Zavitsanos and Socratis Zavitsanos (USA). The movie was directed by Freddie Macdonald from a screenplay written by him and Freddie Macdonald.
