Paris-based Loco Movies has hooked up Paying For It, an adaptation of Chester Brown’s best-selling graphic novel from Canadian director Shuxian Lee (“Octavio is Useless!”). The movie had its world premiere on the Toronto Movie Pageant within the Competitors Platform part.
The live-action movie is co-written by Lee Sarazen and Joanne Sarazen (“Backspot,” “Tammy’s At all times Dying”) and stars Dan Beirne (“Two Tenth Century, Priscilla), rising actor Emily Lê (Riceboy Sleeps) and acclaimed activist, author and performer Andrea Werhun (Trendy Whore, Flourishing: A Dissociated Reverie”).
The movie explores grownup themes of affection, intercourse and non-monogamy. Set within the late ’90s, the story revolves round introverted comedian Chester, who begins sleeping with a intercourse employee and discovers a brand new type of intimacy when his girlfriend, Sonny, decides to redefine their dedicated relationship.

The movie is shot by Emmy Award winner Gail Ye (“You Can Dwell Perpetually,” “Bria Mack Will get Life”) and Olivia De Oliveira (“Goals Are a Personal Factor,” “Feminine Fermentation”) serves as manufacturing designer), with costume design by Cameron Lee (“Near You”) and enhancing by Anna Catelli (“We Forgot to Break Up,” “Infinity Pool”). Dylan Gamble and Lee from the band Sizzling Rubbish composed the unique rating.
