“The Eyes of a Stranger” Yang XiuhuaA stunning movie about surveillance and the surveilled, has been optioned Golden Horse Movie Pageant in Taiwan. The movie, co-produced by Singapore and Taiwan, stars Taiwanese movie icons Li Kangsheng With Jianhao Wu, Vera Chen and Anicca Panna.
In “Eyes of a Stranger,” a younger couple begins receiving unusual movies after their younger daughter mysteriously disappears and realizes that somebody has been filming their every day lives—even their most intimate moments. Because the identification of the voyeur and the reality behind the movie are revealed, the household begins to unravel.
The Taiwan screening would be the movie’s Asian premiere and its first public screening since its world premiere in Venice this week. Yang’s final movie, “Creativeness Land,” received two awards on the Golden Horse Awards.
The 2024 Taipei Golden Horse Movie Pageant will probably be held from November seventh to twenty fourth. Its full plans will probably be introduced on October 25.
