“Wild Bots” received the SCAD Savannah Movie Competition Viewers Award.
Author-director Chris Sanders, star Lupita Nyong’o and composer Chris Powers attended the screening. The primary two received the Animation Icon Award and the Grasp Award.
A complete of 162 movies had been screened at this 12 months’s competition, together with 123 narrative movies, 31 documentaries, 69 quick movies, 10 world premieres and 6 U.S. premieres.
From greater than 2,335 submissions, 19 awards had been chosen from 105 movies chosen for competitors classes, together with narrative options, documentaries, animated shorts and extra.
Different winners included Anna-Ester Volozh’s “The Marriage ceremony Veil of the Proud Princess” for Greatest Animated Brief, and Ben Stegu “Champions Of The Golden Valley” directed by Ben Sturgulewski received one of the best documentary award, whereas “Los Frikis” from the US received one of the best documentary award. Nelson received the award for Greatest Narrative Characteristic.
The narrative characteristic class is sponsored by Letterboxd, which funded Los Frikis by means of media campaigns, focused promoting and direct advertising and marketing from the movie.
The competition’s skilled jury consists of IndieWire Editorial Director Kate Erbland, Letterboxd Head of Studio Relations and Video Brian Formo, and filmmakers Zeberiah Newman and Richard Suckle.
Within the scholar competitors, “El Alma de la Sed,” directed by SCAD’s personal Colleen Ryan, received the award for Greatest Narrative Scholar Brief Movie. Oscar Bittner of the Baden-Württemberg Movie Academy received the Greatest Scholar Animated Brief Movie Award for his quick movie “Excessive Diver.”
The International Brief Movie Discussion board awarded Antonina Kerguelen Roman’s “¡salsa!” the award for Greatest Latin Shot, Loïc Espuche’s “Yuck!” received Greatest French Visible, and Julien Coulthard’s “Le Petit Queen” received Greatest International. Brief Movie Award.
SCAD additionally offered the Excellent Achievement in Movie Award to Amy Adams, the Subsequent Technology Award to Marissa Abela, the Marquee Award to Pamela Anderson, and the Leisure Legend Award to Jerry Bruckheimer Awards, the Masters Award was offered to Kieran Culkin, the Highlight Award was offered to Coleman Domingo, the TV Highlight Award was offered to Kathryn Hahn, and others.
