Colin Monahan, a former scholar at Freehold Boro Excessive Faculty who later grew to become the wrestling coach, has reportedly died.
Monahan’s demise was revealed in a tearful tribute posted on social media by the Freehold Polo wrestling group, which he coached and competed on. The reason for demise has not but been revealed.
“The Freehold Boro Wrestling Workforce mourns the lack of one in every of our personal, Colin Monaghan (Class of 2015),” the tribute started.
Monahan was the college’s wrestling champion, gained a district championship as a senior (2015) and have become the fifth Freehold Boro Excessive Faculty athlete to achieve 100 wins.
“Colin was a gifted wrestler and left his mark within the Colonial file books. Collin gained a district championship as a senior and was solely the fifth Freehold Boro to take action. 100 win wrestler,” Freehold Boro Wrestling stated.
After excelling in highschool, Monahan entered Ursinus School. After finishing his training, he returned to Freeholdboro the place he served as a highschool assistant and coached for a number of seasons underneath Coach Shepp. He was named the 2022 District Coach of the 12 months.
