Nigerian singer Rema donates N105 million to his church – shares story of their support after father’s death

Nigerian music star Divine Ikubor, popularly referred to as Rema, on Sunday donated N105 million to Christ Embassy Church in Benin, Edo State.

Through the Sunday service, Rema expressed his gratitude to the church for its continued help and religious steering.

In a video that went viral, Rema stated: “I am not right here to provide myself any honor or glory. I am right here to provide glory to God. I really feel it is necessary to provide again as a result of the church embraced me and gave me I pray and align myself with my spirit.

Rema shared a private story about how the church supported his household throughout a tough time following the dying of his father.

“After I misplaced my dad after I was eight years outdated, we felt very misplaced and deserted. Every thing we had was taken away from us and we felt very alone. I bear in mind the pastors of this church on the time, Pastor Pleasure and Pastor Thomas, for my mother. Opened a retailer and that is how she took care of us,” he recalled.

He went on to announce his donation: “To begin with, I need to pledge 40 million naira to the church’s infrastructure. I need to pledge 20 million naira to Actuality Rhapsody.
