    Caine Award

    The 2024 shortlist of the Caine African Writing Prize, some of the prestigious and coveted literary awards for African writers, as soon as once more highlights the continent’s literary expertise. Established in 2000, the prize continues to acknowledge excellent brief tales by African writers and promote their work on the worldwide stage.     Samuel Kolawole is the creator of the critically acclaimed new novel The Highway to the Salt Sea. His work has appeared in AGNI, New England Overview, Georgia Overview, Hopkins Overview, Gulf Coast, Washington Sq. Overview, Harvard Overview, Picture Journal and different literary publications. He has been the recipient of quite a few residencies and fellowships, and was a finalist for the Grey Wolf Press Africa Prize, the Worldwide E book Award, and a finalist for the UK First Novel Award and winner of the Various Writers Editorial Writers Mentoring Scheme. He graduated from the Vermont School of High-quality Arts with an MFA in Writing and Publishing; and obtained his PhD in English and Inventive Writing from Georgia State College. He has taught artistic writing in Africa, Sweden, and america, and at present teaches fiction writing at Penn State College as an assistant professor of English and Africana Research.

    Okonkwo’s ideas (Nigeria) – Animals
